Beacon 50 MHz

A propogation beacon is running on 50.456 MHz from the Mount Kitchener site. This beacon runs continuoisly at 15 watts into a single Halo antenna (Omni horizontal polarisation), the ID is on-off keying morse for 1 minute, then the WSJT mode JT65A for 1 minute, then repeat :-). Locator for the beacon is PF95MK02 (Mt Kitchener)

The photos below, show the earlier beacon that was turned off in late 2017 when the FT8 digital mode invaded 50.315 MHz.
